About a month ago I was honored to spend the weekend with Jen + Rob and (roughly) 60 of their closest friends and family in the Bahamas. Throughout the weekend I was asked on several occasions, "What's your favorite destination to photograph?". I drew a blank. I didn't have one. Why didn't I have one? After some reflection, I realized it's not about the location for me, it's all about the people. Even the most gorgeous and/or exotic destination would mean very little if their weren't great people (clients, their families and friends) to share it with. 

It's one of things I treasure most about destination weddings - blending seamlessly into the "group" and being a part of the entire wedding weekend - the beach BBQ's, the rehearsal dinners, the cocktail hours, the sand building competitions, feeding pigs on a beach, etc. Making connections and becoming friends with the people that mean the most to my clients, means the world to me. There is no better feeling. 

Rob + Jen's wedding was no exception. They are both incredibly kind souls surrounded by a wonderful group of family and friends. The laughs and stories we shared quickly became unforgettable memories. Not to mention the fact that Jen's 95 yr old Grandmother was in attendance. Flying all the way from Oregon, it was amazing what the family went through to have her a part of Jen and Rob's day (you can read more about my soft spot for Grandparents HERE, something Jen and I immediately connected on).
